Gloucester National Spiritualist Church was founded in April 1954. There had been a spiritualist church in Gloucester for many years prior to this date. The services were held in a rented room in Russell Street. It moved to Montpelier where some people wanted to terminate the affiliation with the Spiritualists National Union. The group split up and that's when Gloucester National Spiritualist Church was started in a basement room. In 1954, it was decided to start an open circle on Friday 16th April and from that day the Good Friday Circle has been held every year as the anniversary of that occasion. On Sunday 14th June 1959, a special meeting was held to inform the committee that a piece of land with a meeting room had been offered for sale. This is the land that the church is now on.
There have been many changes in the church but we still continue to grow and go from strength to strength..
We welcome anyone who wishes to come through our doors and we continue to work for Spirit in Love, Peace and Harmony!
